Sewing Classes begin this Thursday

All area youth are invited to participate in the 4-H beginning sewing classes that will be held the third Thursday of each month beginning in September. Classes will take place at the Quilting Cupboard from 3:45 to 5:00. The classes will begin at 4:00 but youth are encouraged to arrive early to set up. The first session on September 19 will cover the basics of learning the mechanics and engineering of the sewing machine and building a tool kit. After the first session youth will be grouped according to skill and experience level and will pursue projects of their interest throughout the year. Participants will need a sewing machine. They may be dropped off at the Quilting Cupboard ahead of time to ease transporting youth after school. If you have questions, call Jody Wilson at 402-322-3908 or email Michelle Garwood at
