Valentine Community Garden
The Valentine Community Garden Harvest Celebration and Organizational Meeting will be Thursday, September 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Valentine City Park. There will be a potluck supper. We will celebrate the first growing season for the garden and plan for the year to come. New Board members will also be elected and youth are needed to participate as well. Please come even if you just want to learn more!
The after school sewing club got off to a great start in September and will meet approximately once a month. This is for all skill levels and parents are welcome to learn right along too! The next two meetings are scheduled for Thursday, October 24 and Thursday, November 14. Meetings are held in the basement of the Quilting Cupboard in Valentine and run from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Participants are encouraged to come a little earlier (if possible) to set up their machines and equipment so the lesson can begin promptly at 4:00. Arrangements can be made to drop off sewing machines earlier in the day if needed.
