4-H Enrollments due April 7
Cherry County 4-H membership and leader enrollments are being accepted now through April 7. Enrollment forms can be found at http://cherry.unl.edu/cherrycounty4h. The forms are in a fillable PDF format and may be filled out and e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or printed and dropped off at the Extension Office. There is a $5 enrollment fee per member, not to exceed $20 per family. Members will find the project list on the website. There is a separate list of projects for Clover Kids (ages 5-7). Project manuals can be picked up at the Extension Office. For families not receiving this newsletter via e-mail, we have tried to provide you with the correct number of forms. New members and leaders have until June 1 to enroll. Feel free to make copies if needed. Don’t hesitate to call the Cherry County Extension Office at (402) 376-1850 if you have any questions.
Valentine Community Garden
Spring is in the air! The Valentine Community Garden is excited to announce that registration is opening very soon for boxes in the Valentine Community Garden. 4-H Families that enjoy gardening will have a special time to register. A garden box would also make a great 4-H Club project! This year’s registration schedule is as follows:
March 1 – March 7 Priority registration for 2013 members in good standing
March 8 – March 15 Registration opens to Cherry County 4-H families
March 16 Registration opens to the general public
May 1 Any unclaimed boxes can be reserved by current members
