Needle Arts

All 4-Hers, parents and leaders are invited to attend the monthly needle arts classes. The next class will be held on November 10 at 7:00 PM, CT at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Design Day

A 4-H Design Day will be held on Saturday, November 21 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, CT at the Cherry County Fairgrounds. Project focus will be on the new Beyond the Needle Project (formerly Decorate Your Duds). 4-Hers will learn design basics including: elements and principles, color wheel, color schemes and pattern and texture. There will also be time set aside to learn how to utilize the die-cut machine in various projects and also needle art projects. Please bring any needle craft supplies you have/want to use as well as fabric and/or paper. Call the Extension Office at 402-376-1850 to attend. All participants will need to bring a sack lunch.

Clothing In-service

There will be a 4-H Clothing in-service open to all volunteers at the Hall County Extension Office in Grand Island on Wednesday, December 9 from 9:90 to 3:00. Topics to be covered include: Smart Clothing – learning how to incorporate LEDs into clothing and accessories. Tips on putting a portfolio project together, fabric design – creating a unique fabric yardage, the latest trends in fiber arts, and entrepreneurship. All break-out sessions will be hands-on and you will go home with samples. Cost of the day is $35 and registration deadline is December 1st. Scholarships for Cherry County leaders are available from the Cherry County 4-H Foundation.
