There is still room for 4-Hers to participate in the FCS tour and experience the Life Challenge event in Lincoln June 19 -21!

During the tour, youth will receive a “behind the scenes” tour of the International Quilt Study Center at UNL, meet UNL professors and tour the campus, receive training on die cut techniques at the AccuCut Factory near Omaha, visit the Ruth Staples Child Development Lab, and design pottery at Paint Yourself Silly.

Life Challenge is designed to help 4-Hers learn about issues related to Consumer and Family Sciences, explore careers, develop problem solving skills, meet others in the county, and have fun!

Opportunities for the Life Challenge events include: team problem solving challenges, healthy living skillathon, business tours, child development, entrepreneur challenge, design challenge and more!

Thanks to the Foundation Grant and money from the Family Science Committee, costs will be kept to a minimum for youth. If you are interested in joining the fun, please e-mail Jody Dexter at jdexter3@unl.edu by May 24.  E-mail Michelle Garwood at michellejeangarwood@gmail.com or call 402-389 1655 for questions about the tour.
