The Special Foods Contest will be held on July 7 at the Catholic Parish Hall. The first session will begin at 10:00 AM, CT. Depending on the number of entries, a possible second session will begin at 12:30.
4-H participants will have 90 minutes to prepare a main dish for a meal and complete a place setting. During the preparation time the judge will observe and score on components including: measuring methods, presentation of finished place setting, knowledge of nutrients and personal diet needs.
There are Junior (8 -10), Intermediate (11-13) and Senior (14-18) divisions. For more information, contact the Extension Office. An agenda with participant’s start time will be sent to 4-Hers after entries are received.
