The 2017 Life Challenge is designed to help 4-H’ers learn more about issues related to Family and Consumer Sciences while developing problem-solving skills. The county Life Challenge will be held June 1 at the Cherry County Fairgrounds from 9 to noon.

As a team, youth will be presented with group challenges where they will problem solve and present a solution. Group challenges will be in the project areas of Food and Nutrition, Human and Child Development, Home Environment, Clothing and Textiles and Personal Finance.

This is open to all 4-H’ers ages 8 and older. Youth do not need not be enrolled in a specific project to participate. To participate, sign-up by calling the Extension Office at 402-376-1850 or emailing by May 26.

Interested 4-Hers, 12 years old or older, are invited to participate in the state Life Challenge June 26-27 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Life Challenge is a two-day event designed to help 4-H’ers learn about issues related to Family and Consumer Sciences, explore career opportunities, compete with other teens from across the state, and have FUN! More information about the state contest, teams, practices and time commitment will be available June 1 at the local event.
