A Robotics project workshop will be held on July 12 at the Cherry County Fairgrounds from 9 AM to noon.

This workshop, hosted by 4-H leader Chad Gaver, will introduce youth to real-world engineering challenges by building LEGO-based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing surface. It is designed for youth in grades 4-8, but older youth are welcome to attend. During this workshop youth will design, build and program robots using LEGO MINDSTORMS® technology.

Adult volunteers are encouraged to attend and learn side-by-side with the 4-Hers. It will give the adults an introduction to First Lego League and they will have the knowledge base to support a long term program.  No technical skills required! Attendance at this workshop will help Cherry County 4-H determine long-term programming and interest in developing an area First Lego League team.

Pre-register by July 10 by calling the Cherry County Extension Office at 402-376-1850 or email jdexter3@unl.edu
