  • Sunday, June 25: 1:00 p.m.-8:00p.m.

Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend. While exhibits in the Mobile Children’s Museum are intended for children ages 5-12, audiences of all ages are welcome. All visitors 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Your help is needed to do a spring clean-up at the Cherry County Fairgrounds to get ready for all of the spring and summer events.

Clean up days are April 20 at 5:00 PM, CT and on April 23 at 1:00 PM, CT.

Things to bring that will be helpful in the clean-up:  gloves, shovels, rakes, shop brooms (anything else you can think of!).

Many hands make light work! Let’s show up in force to let the Ag Society know we appreciate being able to use the facilities.

Cherry County 4-H be offering a Quilts of Valor workshop for 4-H members on Monday, April 17 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM CDT at the Mid-Plains Community College- Valentine Campus. Participation is limited to twelve 4-H members. Quilts of Valor is a national project honoring military service personnel by donating quilts to those service members.

Those 4-H members who wish to participate must have a minimum of two years of sewing experience, a sewing machine and tools for sewing, and a sewing mentor.  There is no charge for 4-H members to participate.

4-H members need fabric donations in colors of red, white, blue, gold and tan or combinations of those colors, batting and thread. Those who wish to donate can do so at the Cherry County Extension Office at the old Courthouse on Main Street. The project also needs individuals with sewing experience to mentor 4-Hers that day, as well as volunteers who are willing to quilt the finished projects.

See the attached flier for complete details and registration information.
