Attention All 4-H Members
Now is the time to be a part of the Nebraska 4-H Life Challenge
What: Life Challenge Workshop/Practice
When: June 7, 2018
Where: Cherry County Extension Office 365 N. Main St, Suite 3, Valentine
Time: 9:30am CT to Noon
Sue Pearman the Extension Educator from Thedford will be conducting this workshop. The event is open to all 4-H’ers 8 years old and up
The content areas that will be covered are Food and Nutrition, Human and Child Development; Home Environment; Clothing and Textiles: and Personal Finance.
Following the individual contest, the youth will divide into teams. Each team will be given a situation. The teams will analyze the situation, look for problems and opportunities, make a plan on how to address or solve the problems and present their answers.
This workshop prepares youth for the Life Challenge Contest held at Lincoln June 24th-26th. Last year, one 4-H member from Cherry County attended this contest and then went on to the State Competition with a team from Hooker County. We also had some younger 4-H’ers that attended, had fun and did quite well, so we are prepping them for the future. Our goal this year is to send a team to represent Cherry County at the State Competition.
